Simply Natural’s Organic Bhutan Turmeric powder is grown under organic conditions in the pristine soils of Bhutan. It is produced by Dakphel women’s groups in Zhemgang district, under GEF (Global Environment Facility) Small Grants Programme Bhutan, United Nations Development Programme. This initiative seeks to empower the local women through training and support on sustainable medical herb cultivation, to promote biodiversity conservation and economic opportunities.
Our organic turmeric powder is 100% certified organic, with no artificial colourings or fillers. It has a deep orange-yellow color and a strong pronounced flavour. In addition to its culinary uses, turmeric is also known for its medicinal properties, such as prevention and treatment of a variety of conditions- joint/ body pain, arthritis, heart disease, cancer etc. attributed to its primary active ingredient called curcumin.
